Shattered by Sophia Sharp
I'm starting with the LAMEST book I know, so I can get the ranting over with.
This book is about a chic named Laura that I believe belongs in a mental hospital. Honestly. The only 'normal' ya concept is that Logan is the mysterious new kid. And he saves her from practically being raped, AND SHE YELLS AT HIM FOR IT! Then they make up, and he shows her some mystical Dream World. But there's a creepy guy in a trench coat stalking them, so they gotta go! Because, apparently, it's a big fat no-no to show a mortal the dream world. So Laura just goes on the run with this guy. No questions asked. And only when they're in a high-speed car chase does he tell her the truth: he's a vampire. They continue on and on with this stupidity, throughout these ancient vampire tunnels they find. Brilliant? HAHAHA!
Honestly, Ms. Sharp needs to work a tiny bit on her character development. I absolutely CANNOT connect with Laura. It's impossible for me to relate to such insanity. If you're going to have a story, you need believable characters. I don't care if you're writing about an alien riding on a unicorn to go kick a werewolf ghost's butt. They have to have motives, reasoning, and common sense.
So, DON'T READ THIS BOOK! It's not worth your 99¢ on Kindle
